I am trying to describe how space travel works in my SF novel. I decided that it works by using beacons to fold space and create wormholes. I know Hawking wrote something about it but what is it called and how understandable would it be for someone who is not a physics, astronomy or mathematics master?
Well the best way to describe time travel is that the most realistic ways to do it is by.
1. Exceeding the speed of light. By doing this, you yourself are experiencing time dialation. HOWEVER, reaching even half that speed is still impossible. And even if you did the materials of the ship you were traveling in would need to be the strength of ten fold what the strongest material on Earth. And don't even get me started on traveling WITHOUT a ship.
2. Yes Hawkings did mention about time travel. But it was using Dark Holes. See the gravity of a dark hole is so immense that it can slow down light (and if light is sucked in it can not escape hence the name). How that affects time? Becuase time is based on light. Slow down light, slow down time. See if you were close enough to the dark hole, light would be slowed down, thus slowing down time, thus making you faster. But you would need to be near the dark hole without being sucked in. Which is virtually impossible so far. BUT im sure you could use the "Fiction" part of that and just B.S. your way through.
But if we're talking about going back in time…Thats another story.
See to go back in time, you would have to go THROUGH the dark hole. Going through the dark hole though would mean that every fiber of your being would be reduced to thier smallest forms. Until your just one thin line of atomics. The trick is being able to re configure your atoms to…Well….Make YOU again. And even then you would probably have a foot for an ear.
I suggest reading "Artemis Fowl: Time Paradox". It is a teens book but it has some fantastic ideas for time traveling. By the way. You can't really change time. See for if I were to go back in time…Well its really confusing basicacly what I would go back in time to do I've already done and am living the results of it.
And whats the name of your sci-fi novel cuase I might wana read it.

Its not a very good storyline… I know, but you can still enjoy the video 
I haven’t been vidding much recently. I’ve just had my end-of-school exams (GCSEs), but now I have a 3-month holiday, so I am planning to release a few videos in the next 3 months.
